Yes, it will. If you add pva glue or mod Podge to the paint first or if you paint a couple of layers of it over the paint it shouldn't scratch.
I need the formulation for Industrial PVA paint. These terms in their respective countries cover all paints that use synthetic polymers such as acrylic, vinyl acrylic PVA , styrene acrylic, etc. I've painted lots of wooden parts with a mix of Titebond II, water and craft acrylic paint. No problems yet. PVA is super glue , hot glue is a thermal glue. It is a thermoplastic which can be used and can be paint over it.
Yes, you can. A sol is a mixture similar to a gel. However, the difference is that the mixture will flow. Examples are emulsion paint or PVA glue. I suspend them in a jar with a rubber lid that grips the handles and lets the brush sit in a liquid. I have 3 of these, one for enamel paint brushes, one for varnish brushes and one for PVA and acrylic brushes. I put water with a little bit of dish soap in this last one, and let the brushes soak for a day after use, then dry them.
Prime it first with an autobody primer spray. I guess you mean 'latex' paint polyvinyl and polymer paint. These are 'built' chemical substances, of which many varieties exist. I've used both interior and exterior latex paints. The exterior latex paint seems to be of better quality, more suitable to cope with weathering influences.

Enamel paint tends to turn yellow over time in indoor areas where there is not enough sunlight. Acrylic paint dries faster than enamel. It takes hours for the paint to dry completely. On the other hand, enamel can take from 6 to 24 hours to dry completely.
Acrylic paint has a matte finish look and enamel paint have a glossy look. Enamel is restricted when it comes to colour variation. They are very few main colours available. Acrylic paint can be found in almost every shade and hew. Enamel paint requires a paint thinner to be cleaned. Acrylic paint can be cleaned with only water and soap, which makes it easier to clean and more environment-friendly option. Brush marks can be seen and it can easily get dirty around high-traffic areas, such as handles, drawers and door frames.
The major disadvantage of enamel oil-based paint is the fact that there is a high content of VOC materials — carbon-based chemicals that are a concern for the environment and personal health. Acrylic enamels have less VOCs consistency.

You and me both. I got a gallon of floetrol, Liquitex pouring medium, and Glue-All. Going to have some fun as soon as I have some spare time.
Almost any glue will. Hi, I just made some pouring medium with glue but when I poured I had lots of small bubbles. I tried to pop them with a propane torch, a heat gun then finally a hairdryer…. Any advice. Appreciate your help! That happens when you mix the paint vigorously, either in the cup or shaking in a bottle. Also make sure your room temperature is a little warmer.
Hi, this was a great topic and I learned a lot thank you. Wanted to know if you know of any additives that make acrylics matte. Similar to matte medium. Thanks again! Floetrol is the best matte pouring medium to use. I just did a roundup of 11 popular pouring mediums videos coming out in the next few weeks and Floetrol was the only matte one. Why does the following happen? I have my pouring medium already mixed up made up of PVA glue and water, when I had this to my paint and start to mix it goes all creamy fluffy sand looks like sand is mixed with it… it only happens with the PVA… can any one help?
Could that be the problem? You have a great site with very detailed information. Just got into pouring and LOVE it! I went thru a bottle of Floetrol in one night and thought it was kinda pricey to practice my pouring. Thanks for all the great info. Glue and Floetrol and definitely great for beginners and are by far the cheapest pouring mediums. I think that would be another post you might be interested in.
Hi, thank you for your informative articles they are a great help. Could one use wood adhesive in the same way as PVA glue? The one I have says it is resin based. Kind regards, Maria. Yes it is possible but I have not tested this myself. Thank you for really good information!! I am really struggeling with getting cells to stay small, they turn gigantic most of the time. But you are saying that torching closer to the canvas will heat up the paint and stop the cell enlargement process?
In that case I am really happy! The key to small cells is to torch as late as possible. Torching early gives the cells the most amount of time to grow and to be stretched. I just put out a new video on YouTube, also Leftbrainedartist, today on my review of pouring with glue and I show how the cells from early torches are much bigger than the cells from late torches.
You never want to have your torch very close the surface of the paint. Maybe a quick drive by to pop air bubbles. Hi there David. I am so loving your page.. Very clear, precise and not too wordy. I have been using Floetrol and water for my pouring medium and now I know I can use Elmers Craft Glue it is going to lower my costs.. I too have trouble keeping the cells small unless it is a swipe.
Doing a Beach Themed based canvas for a lady with real sand and now I know that the Elmers Glue is so applicable and economical I can use that for the real sand. Thank you so much for sharing. We can all learn something new everyday in life Hey. In Australia they sell a clear glue, I am trying to remember the name, that supposedly works even better than glue-all.
The artist on the channel Pouring Your Heart Out uses it. Her painting are fantastic. If the cells form early they get elongated and stretched by the tilting.
